A Faith That Does Justice: Catholic Social Teaching Through an Ignatian Lens (September 2025 – June 2026) In honor of Pope Leo XIV and Pope Leo XIII’s legacy of Rerum Novarum

PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Rev. Joseph Palacios

Father Joe will be offering a ten month spiritual development program integrating Catholic Social Teaching (CST) and the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola (Ignatian Spirituality).  The first meeting is a Saturday retreat day at St. Agatha concluded with the 5:00pm Mass.  Monthly 2 hour meetings will be held on Zoom.  The program will conclude with another Saturday retreat day.

  • Ten Month Program:

    • Beginning and Closing One Day Retreats (10:00 am – 4:45 pm with closing Mass at 5:00 pm)

    • 8 monthly Zoom meetings

  • Each session integrates Catholic Social Teaching (CST) and Ignatian spirituality

    • Includes opening/closing prayer, teaching, scripture, reflection, faith sharing, and action

One-Day Opening Retreat: Foundations of Faith That Does Justice

Saturday, September 6, 10:00am - 4:45pm, concluding with the 5:00pm Mass

Theme: Rooted in Scripture, Formed in History, Sent in Mission
Goal: Introduce participants to the biblical, theological, and historical foundations of Catholic Social Teaching and Ignatian Spirituality
